Who We Are
Windy City Lions Club is a service-oriented community of approximately 50 members who believe that kindness matters — and that strong communities are built through hands-on service and personal connection.
Chartered in 2008, we are proudly based in Chicagoland and focus our efforts on meeting real needs in our local communities through meaningful, collaborative service projects.
As part of Lions International, we are connected to a global network of 1.4 million volunteers in more than 200 countries and regions, united by a shared mission of humanitarian service, compassion, and cooperation.
Our Impact
During the 2024–2025 Lions year, we:
Served 2,978 people
Engaged 470 volunteers
Raised $7,962 in support of service initiatives
Donated $7,000 to community causes
These numbers represent countless volunteer hours, strong community partnerships, and a shared belief that even small acts of service can make a meaningful difference.

What Makes Us Different?
Windy City Lions is built for people who want to make a real, tangible impact in their community.
We focus on hands-on service, strong local partnerships, and creating opportunities for people of all ages and backgrounds to give back in meaningful ways. Our projects are rooted in real community needs and carried out alongside organizations doing important work across Chicago.
We are also intentionally working to be more family-friendly, helping introduce the value of service to the next generation. Through Lions Clubs International’s Cub Program, children ages 12 and under can participate in age-appropriate, supervised service activities that teach empathy, responsibility, and the joy of helping others.
